Paull & Scollard Pty Ltd, based in Albury/Wodonga for over 30 years with 3 offices covering NSW and NE Victoria and more than 20% of the region’s livestock market administered by 25 staff are large, experienced and well established. Office Manager for 17 years Elizabeth Couch was one of the earliest converts to saleG8.
WE LOVE IT, It’s going great. I admit it was bumpy to start with, we were one of the first and we had a complicated set up that had to be customised for us, but Myco did it and it has reduced our workload. The girls have no hassles with it, in fact very little goes wrong, unless it’s something we’ve done wrong. We hardly ring support anymore.
The BIGGEST difference is End of Month Processing, there isn’t any! It just doesn’t exist anymore. I used to come in weekends and at nights to prepare and save processing down-time, now it is so simple and easy - after all this time I still get the feeling I’ve forgotten to do something.
We love that we can put sales in, send invoices out, even draw cheques but leave the sales unprocessed pending any changes – there are no hold-ups. The transactions are still there against the client account even without processing, so we can proceed even when waiting for information from the agents - there are fewer “fix ups” and fewer reversals because you can make changes before processing, and this has made life much easier. We can get lease and agistment invoices out – even some monies in - before we need to pay them out. Even bankings can be entered and printed but not processed if we are waiting on confirmation of a direct deposit.
The processing speed is very fast, virtually instant.
The customisation has been very useful, we got all the GL reports customised so we can look at P&L for each of our branches and in a large business, this means we are up to date on critical financial information. We are even looking at the cloud solutions now.
The change-over support was wonderful, we did have some frustrations, but now we are finding it great, we just don’t have any problems. You wouldn’t know that the support staff aren’t just around the corner, the remote support is marvellous when we use it, which isn’t much these days, but the girls are very knowledgeable and get right back to you.
It has definitely reduced our workload, we can always find other things to do, and I don’t miss overtime. The new backup is much faster and easier, and in time we will consider the advanced backup options.

This is the first auction we?ve conducted with saleG8. There are huge benefits facilitated by this new software which tremendously reduced time spent on administration and coordination. saleG8?s ability to handle complex auctioning requirements made our biggest auction fuss free!

407 lots were sold by the second night. We sold over 83 percent of the works by volume and 91% by value, which is a fantastic result!

Deutscher-Menzies and Lawson-Menzies are very happy to reach our goal of $15 million in the auctions last week.

We started with NZ dairy farmers in Victoria, utilizing our NZ relationships and that worked very well, so expanding our offering to include dairy livestock marketing was a natural linkage or synergy with the real estate business.

We already have a good relationship with MYCO as they have looked after us in New Zealand for several years. They had the ability to provide rapid deployment with technologically advanced software that gives us an advantage over our competitors.

MYCO knows the livestock agency business inside out, their software met our business requirements and they were willing to run with some pretty tough timeframes on delivery.
